ORDER PROCESS This is the basic process you should complete prior to submitting your order. Here you will find detailed information on how to prepare your media, suggested shipping instructions and Payment via PayPal as well as Credit Card. Completing your Order As you complete your order the Shopping Cart shown on the right side of the screen is updated on each selection you make. You can also delete any items that you want changed. After you have completed your order proceed to Check Out. There you can you can do a final review of your order. Those of you that have a PayPal account can Log in to the PayPal site to complete the order process. Those that DO NOT have a PayPal account, select Pay by Credit Card and you will go into the secure PayPal site where you can enter your card information. Please do NOT send any credit card information by normal e-mail.Preparation for 35mm Slide/Negatives Scans Begin sorting your media (slides/negatives). It’s up to you how you wish to sort and organize your media. Take your time when sorting the media. Remember, dark slides will result in dark scans (under exposed), light slides (over exposed) result in bright scans and out of focus media will result in out of focus scans. While sorting through your slides it would be ideal to start considering organizing then into some sort of presentation order. If you want your slides in a particular order please number the slide mounts using a felt tip pen. Every slide should have a different number! If they are not numbered they will not be in the order you wanted. As a minimum group them by year, that way when assemble files we will add folders that will contain your slides. (example: folder labeled 1962 will contain all the slides that you have taken in 1962, the JPG within that file will begin with the name 1962001.JPG and continue using all the slides that you indicated were taken in 1962. A zip-lock food storage bag is ideal for separating the years media. When your media is sorted the way you want, proceed to the Prepare for Shipping located below: Preparation for Slideshow DVD The preparation for your slideshow is fairly simple. We will use your provided digital media or the 35mm slide scans to produce your DVD Slideshow. If you want Custom Titles, please provide the information you want displayed in the Title frame. If you want Custom Menus, provide the information on each chapter you want and where (ie: after the title, after 1972024.jpg, after 1973054.jpg, etc:). That way we would know to do the menu showing 2 chapters (you may have a maximum of 6 chapters per Custom Menu). You may also consider the addition of background music. When your Slideshow is the way you want, proceed to the Prepare for Shipping located below: Preparation of Video Tape to DVD You should sort through your video tape(s) to make sure the tape case is intact (not broken). If you want Custom Titles, please provide the information you want displayed in the Title. If you want Custom Menus, provide the information on each chapter you want and where (ie: after the Title, after the 3rd video clip, after 9th video clip, etc:). That way we would know to do the menu showing 2 chapters (you may have a maximum of 6 chapters per Custom Menu). When your Video Tape to DVD is the way you want, proceed to the Prepare for Shipping located below: Preparation of 8mm Film to DVD You should sort through you collection of 8mm film and insure that there are no broken reels or film. Label each reel of film in the sequence in which you wish it processed. If you want Custom Titles, please provide the information you want displayed in the Title. If you want Custom Menus, provide the information on each chapter you want and where (ie: after the Title, after the 3rd reel, after 9th reel, etc:). That way we would know to do the menu showing 2 chapters (you may have a maximum of 6 chapters per Custom Menu). Some folks really don't mind random sequencing of reels on video. Generally they intend to re-capture into a PC and do their own edit. But if you want some quick copies for other members of the family, it is best if they are in sequence order. When your Film to DVD is the way you want, proceed to the Prepare for Shipping located below: Packing your Media: We suggest packing your media in sturdy, heavyweight corrugated cardboard box with plenty of bubble wrap. If your shipping box has some extra space in it, we can reship it with your returned media and the Produced DVDs. If you don’t have a shipping box, the USPS/ FedEx/UPS stores have reasonable priced containers for shipping.
Flat Packs for Photos Shipping: We suggest that your media be insured to aid in tracking it by the carrier. If you ship USPS/ FedEx/UPS or any other shipping, you can send your package to our street address. Once we have processed your media, we will return insured shipping. Turnaround Time: Please allow 10 to 15 working days from the day we receive your order. Some projects take a little less time and some take a little longer. For quality's sake we can't be rushed. Once an order is received, we give a ship-back date that targets your project return. Return Shipping: Return shipping will be at a flat rate of $10.00 (in some cases even less). I will return ship by insured USPS/FedEx/UPS. You will be informed via email as to the date of shipping. Policy/Warranties: Due to the customization process of our services, there are no cash refunds. All Sales are final. If you are in any way dissatisfied with your order, we will work with you to correct the problem. If necessary, we will, at our discretion, process your transfer a second time at no charge. If the original film or tape is over-exposed, under-exposed, soft, out of focus, off color or lacking color, etc. The software we us is extremely good, however if the slides/film/video is severely damaged, the software can not correct what's not there. MostValuedPossessions.com assumes no liability for the original film media. The original film media will be treated as carefully as possible, but old film/tape is subject to breakage. We use widely accepted worldwide standards for DVD and NTSC systems, however, due to the wide variation of playback machines and software programs, we cannot assure that your choice of playback machines, software programs and media are compatible. Any Media that is considered to be inappropriate for a child under 13 years old to view will not be produced. If you submit any such materials to us, we will not process your order and your materials will be returned to you at YOUR EXPENSE. If you have any doubts as to whether or not we might consider your material inappropriate please DO NOT SEND YOUR ITEMS TO US.
